Aircraft Spotters
are welcome at Sittles Airfield by prior permission. It has to be this
way for security. Anyone who loves aeroplanes and aviation is a friend
of ours. People come from all over the country to visit us and usually
take in Tatenhill and Derby at the same time. There are also three other
private strips nearby, but you would have to contact them for
permission to visit. We can always help you out with contact numbers.
In our experience,
Plane Spotters are a vital part of the aviation community. Always aware,
vigilant and helping to protect aircraft. Help us to keep it that way.
I can say with pride that I was once one.
Children must be
supervised at all times, and there are designated
smoking areas. We have a Health & Safety Policy in force.
Follow our rules and
you will be made welcome, shown around, offered a cup of tea
and, who knows!
Talk to the pilots and owners about their aircraft and if you see us at another airfield,
come and say hello.
The farmhouse area is strictly
out of bounds and Sittles is an
active airfield.
Enter at your own risk.
